L Desk
Similar to one of my digital art pieces I first came up with the concept for the desk in minecraft to get similar proportions to what I wanted, then utilizing sketch up I finalized the design. Utilizing the pipes to connect this together made the process quite simple, with generally just needing to make flat desk pieces.
Art Desk
After I created my other desk I had a space under my windows open which would be an ideal space for another desk, designing my prototypes in sketchup I came up with this design for the desk.
Assembling the Desk
This desk was my first proper furniture I have made, it is entirely made up of solid red oak and wood glue(other than the drawer slides) One thing I did not properly consider at the time was the warping of wood over time, with the ends of the desktop bound it has created a minor crack in the desktops surface.
